Located within the town of Brentwood, Essex, The Nag’s Head is well connected and easily accessible.

If you’re travelling by train, The Nag’s Head is just a 6-minute drive from Brentwood station.

The area is also well-served by the M25, A12, and A127 – making it the perfect base for those exploring Essex and the Capital.

The Nag’s Head is located in the town of Brentwood, South Essex.

Brentwood is home to a number of Country Parks – offering the perfect spot for nature-lovers, walkers, and families alike to explore. There are also plenty of cycle routes in and around the area.

Keeping Busy in Brentwood

For families, looking to embrace the fresh air, Thorndon Park is home to the famous Gruffalo Trail, whilst Old MacDonald’s Farm on the outskirts of the Brentwood will allow you to get up close and personal with a whole host of animals. And, once your little ones have worked up a healthy appetite, why not bring them along to The Nag’s Head to refuel.

The 16th Century Ingastone Hall is also well worth a visit. As well as having an interesting past, it’s also regularly used for performances and events. To experience another side to the area’s history, the Kelvedon Hatch Nuclear Bunker offers a fascinating insight into nuclear war and the Cold War.

Slightly further afield in Southend-on-Sea, you’ll find plenty of family orientated attractions, water sports, and a sprawling sandy beach.
